Do you remember the outrageous battery packs necessary to power the on-camera lights? We do. We still have them and they work fine...for an hour and a half. You're in the woods, it's a moonless night and you're documenting nocturnal varmit hunting rituals of Texas rednecks and you've just stumbled away from the group, thinking you've spotted the glint of wild pig eyes, when the Frezzi or the Bescor belt runs out of power. It's so heavy that on top of being alone with a scary varmit in the dark, you're all tuckered out from toting around that battery belt and you realize you're stupid to have wandered away toward what you now recall is an agressive and carnivorous varmit with no natural aversion to humankind. Don't you wish you'd rented one of our new VIDLED or LITE PANELS LED on-camera lights? Yes! The VIDLED looks fabulous and runs on a Sony camera battery. The output is equivalent to 50W. Similarly, the LITE PANELS light is also equivalent to 50W, true, less than the Frezzi or Bescor, but it is lightest of all--running on AA batteries. Breathe evenly, close your eyes and plan on using the LED lights on your next nocturnal documentary as you stand hoping the pig goes away.
